350 by Bike!

Meet at the Sanders Residence 1824 SE Oak St, Portland OR 97214 at 11 am with your bikes. Kids are welcome! We will depart at 11:30 am and commute by bike to the Climate Action Now event at the Memorial Colliseum (details here: http://www.moving-planet.org/events/us/portland/527).

Bring earth-friendly bike decorations (or use those we provide) and plan to pause at Buckman Elementary School to arrange all our bikes into a "350" to be photographed from the top of the infamous "big" slide.

We'll hang out at the Climate Action Now event until it ends at 3 pm, then ride back to our house for refreshments.

Since this is a family-friendly bike event on city streets, we will have some specific instructions for you before we leave.

There are a couple intersections with railroad tracks where we are going to walk our bikes to avoid spills.

We will ride single-file in groups of 4. The leader of each group will make decisions about when to cross streets for all 4 bikes and will keep his/her group together.

One bike length distance between bikes at all times.

Proceed sedately. View this as sort of a "parade" for Moving Planet. Our bikes will be decorated and we want to take our time so everyone can see us and even stop us to ask questions. Translation: this is not a race :)
