Ride For The Cures
About The Event
Join us to help to raise awareness about the cures to global warming. What are the cures? Biking and public transit of course! Facing the threat of climate change it is time to view these solutions for what they are: critical components of our transportation infrastructure.
By connecting Milwaukee and Madison with this 100 mile ride, we demonstrate the need for environmentally safe transportation. In this case, a train would allow us to travel between these two cities in a way that is healthier for us and the planet, securing a safer world for future generations. Our elected representatives should match this commitment to future generations by prioritizing both biking and public transportation.
The big send off will happen at the Amtrak Intermodal Station at 8 am. Support the riders along with Senator Chris Larson and enjoy free fair trade coffee and by all means.
The ride will take place over two days, with camping at Sandhill State Park, near historic Aztalan State Park. In Madison, we will join the Ride the Drive event, where the streets will be blocked for bicyclists. Free entertainment will be provided. Please RSVP with the organizer if your interested in joining the ride to Madison.
