About The Event
Did you know Haverhill just converted an old railroad track into a bike and pedestrian path? This beautiful path runs along the Merrimack River from one downtown bridge to the other. Reconnecting the community with the river - beautiful!
The 350.org/Moving-Planet event will be a bike ride from the Bradford Rail-Trail, through downtown, and over to the National Grid Solar Farm on Hilldale Ave. We are hoping to be let into the gates by a NG rep at noon.
Riders of any age, and even walkers, may assemble at the 350.org info table, to be set up behind the Roma restaurant (29 Midlesex St). At 11:30am we will lead a bike "parade" up the brand new trail, over the Comeau Bridge, past Krueger Flatbread, and through Lafayette Square to the array on Hilldale (this is about 2 miles).
After the tour, we will return to the trail. Feel free to decorate your bike with "green" signs! Learn about Solar! Have fun!
If you would like to be involved in the planning contact RM Allen at
