Edmonton 350 invites you to walk, skate or skip your way to Moving Planet Edmonton, our contribution to 350.org’s Moving Planet day of action. Scheduled for September 24, Moving Planet is “a worldwide rally to demand solutions to the climate crisis -- a single day to move away from fossil fuels.”
Event Schedule:11:00 AM: Meet at the NW corner of 105 Street and Whyte Avenue, site of a toxic brownfield that’s been under remediation for more than 13 years. An example of what we want to move away from.
11:15: Move—in a human-powered manner—to the Alberta Legislature.
12 noon – 1:00: Rally at the Legislature for music, speeches and the presentation of our three-five-zero message.
Speakers include meteorologist Julian Brimelow, Edmonton Centre Green Party candidate David Parker, and MP Linda Duncan
So c'mon Edmonton. Let’s show the world we’re willing to move beyond fossil fuels.
